Squeezecenter Fails to install

I don’t know what else to try.

I have tried installing directly from the MyCloud interface options and manually downloading and manual install (through the interface).

No matter what I have done the install fails. Any suggestions?

I should mention latest firmware and versions.

Hi there and welcome to the WD community.

Have you tried resetting the unit to see if after a reset you are able to install the application on the dashboard? you can also try to do a system restore to see if there is something with the system that might be preventing it from installing.

Sorry about the late reply, holidays were a little hectic.

I did a reset and that did not work.

I have to do a config back up because of the account info I created and setup before I do a fully factory restore.

I have not used Squeezecenter in the past and was looking for something I could stream to my laptop or phone. If it isn’t worth it I will continue to play with Icecast.

Did a full factory reset and still no joy. After the reset I went straight to the install of squeezecenter and using the auto and manual install options both failed.

I am wondering if I can/should try going to an earlier firmware. I have been looking for the downloads of earlier firmware but have not found this option.

Downgraded to the previous firmware and same result. Apparently Squeezebox is not meant to run on my EX2.
