Is it possible to split the two Harddisks of the MBL-duo into to separate storage locations/partitions?

Nope… The Duo supports RAID1 and Spanning, both of which treat both disks as a single volume.

If I go back to spanning mode, put only one HD in the MBL and define this  as a seperate partition. Then I remove the HD and put the second HD into the MBL and define a second partition to the second HD.   If I put the two HD into the MBL will I see two partition?
