Specifying Content to Back Up by folder instead of content type

Hi,

I’m new to using the WD Back Up software, and I’m a bit frustrated by how inflexible the options seem. I’m hoping I simply don’t fully understand how to set things up. It appears that you can only choose what types of files to back up, but I would instead like the flexibility  to back up certain folders and not others, regardless of content type. Is this possible, and if so, how do I configure it? Thanks in advance for your suggestions!!

You must have the old version of the WD Smartware, update to the latest version and you will be able to choose what to backup.

Smartware is not completely necessary to use the drive, you can use any backup software. Smartware is just another option.
