Sorting Files Types...HELP!

I recently ran into a problem with my WD Media Player.
I have a USB drive with ten files on it.
Half of them are PNG files and the other half are MP4 files.
They load perfectly fine and will all play.
Here’s the issue, my Media Player automatically separates them into 2 groups. A PNG group. And an MP4 group.
Even though I have the sorting feature set to “alphabetical” it breaks my files into those 2 groups.
I would like my files to be alphabetized regardless of file type.
Below is how my player organizes them:
001_first.png
003_third.png
005_fifth.png
007_seventh.png
009_ninth.png
002_second.mp4
004_fourth.mp4
006_sixth.mp4
008_eigth.mp4
010_tenth.mp4

Below is how I wish my player would organize them:
001_first.png
002_second.mp4
003_third.png
004_fourth.mp4
005_fifth.png
006_sixth.mp4
007_seventh.png
008_eigth.mp4
009_ninth.png
010_tenth.mp4

But nothing I try makes that happen.
I hope this makes sense and that someone out there can help me!

Cheers,
Michael

Hi,

Try changing the sorting option to “Date” to see if it makes a difference.

I have tried that.
It didn’t work.
But that’s a good thought…I wonder if instead of adding all my files at once, I added them separately in the correct order and then choose “Date” as my sorting option, if that would do it…

I’ll give it a shot.

Thanks!
