Something other than Safepoints for backup on the MBLD?

Looking for a linux based backup utility with a web interface to run on the MBLD in place of supplied backup software.

I would like more granularity in the selection process so I can exclude directories from backup

Any suggestions?

Try to reach the user called myron in here, he’s got experience with MBL SSH.

If there is any information on SSH backup control, I hope Myron posts here. Better still, could he be persuaded to write a Guide? Just adding my vote of interest in this topic.

EDIT: As a Windows user, I back up things on the MBLD with Cobian Backup to a USB 3 drive connected to my computer. It is WAY faster than SafePoints, and I get to choose what backs up. However, it would be nice to launch a sync operation independent of the network or my computer.
