i transfer new movie files (mkv) to my Seagate hardrive, most movies show in my folders to be viewed. but one or two dont even show up, like there not even in the folder. why are they not being read?

Where are you trying to play this files?
If you are trying to view them on a WD TV then try deleting the .wd_tv folder inside the drive, this will force the WD TV to rescan all the files.
Excellent… work for most of the movies… but there is still one paticular movie that refuses to show. i even tried moving it to a different folder, which worked in some cases
