[SOLVED] Power Schedule -- sleeps, but doesn't wake

Hi. I hope I’m wrong, but I think I’ve encountered a bug with power schedule. Basically, the wdmcex2 will go to sleep as scheduled; however, it does not wakeup.

Contrary to some other posts, it is not necessary to unplug-and-plug to get the device back on. One could send a WOL from commandline, for instance.

I used the utility described here during my testing: tutorial on utility

This confirmed to me that the device was indeed asleep and not powered down.

I’ve attached an image from the power schedule UI. I’ve configured the device to sleep from 2AM to 10AM, each day.

Am I doing something wrong, or is this a bug? Please note that I am using the latest firmware.

Just confirming: You’re showing Sunday’s schedule – I assume the other six days are the same?

Hi Tony, yes. All days have the same setting. Thanks.

EDIT: Just realized that I had the wrong time zone set; this is probably the issue. I’ll report back once I’m sure.

EDIT2: Yep, just a timezone confusion.
