Installed WD version 2.4.2.26 (for My Passport Ultra) two days ago. First backup went fine; but automatic WD updates result in error message. Operating systemt is Windows 7, and I have the following version of .NET Framework installed 4.5.1.

I recommend you uninstall and reinstall WD Smartware. If the issue remains then contact WD support directly.
