Immediately after installing the Western Digital My Passport Ultra drive and software, I am seeing a marked slowdown in my computer. It’s not any one function,but everything including internet. I don’t think it could be th drive itself but what is the software doing that could cause this? The first complete backup has been made and the computer remains slow days later, even with few files needing to be backed up. I see 5 different apps listed running and in the device manager they are using the most amount of memory and processor, more than anything else in the computer. Is this the way it’s designed to be? Is there something that could be wrong here? Are all 5 apps necessary to keep installed? What is the minimum I need installed to run the backups? What are the minimum apps here I need to be able to also do the cloud backups?
