Ok, as part of my ongoing tweaks to my My Cloud, I disabled the startup of nfs-common and nfs-kernel-server, since I don’t have a *nix box. This had the effect of dropping my read speed from 100MB/s to 85MB/s. Re-enabling these services restored the faster speed.
Any gurus know what the heck causes this?
