Smb.conf gets overwritten

hi, i want to hide files like .appledb .appledouble .ds_store and so on.

also i’d like to localize the name of the public folder.

i edit /etc/samba/smb.conf correspondingly but it gets overwritten and/or recreated at reboot.

also where is the samba service located how can i restart it

please advise

This type of  changes are not supported.

Be careful when changing this settings as it might result in damaging the drives configuration.
