SmartWave doesn't appear to be backing up new files

After plugging in my WD MyBook Live and verified it was working correctly, I installed the SmartWave software, and set it to continuous backup (not categroy backup), and picked a couple directories on my machine.  I left it running overnight and it backed up like 150 GB without any problems.

However, if I now go into one of those directories and create new directories and/or files, they don’t ever show up in the Retrieve tab in the SmartWave software, even a day or two later.  Why is it not detecting changes in those directories and backing up the new files?

As a troubleshooting step, can you please uninstall the WD Smartware and install the software again. Make sure that you download the latest version of the software from the WD support site.

I didn’t uninstall the version that came with the drive, but it did automatically tell me that there was a new version of the software available and asked me if I wanted to upgrade.  I said Yes, and it did it, and now everything seems to be working correctly.
