Hello:
Just purchased the My Book Essential. I’m trying to update the Smartware to the latest version as my drive has the 1.4.5.2 on it now.
I download the Upgrader file, run it, and it quickly gives me the message: Smartware Updater has stopped working. I have powered off the drive several times…same result.
What’s my problem?
I am running Windows 7 (64) and was able to update the firmware to 1.019 which it informs me is up to date.
Suggestions?
