Smartware retrieve shows no volumes

I’ve been backing up using SmartWare for more than a year. Now I need to retrieve - and the tab shows no volums available.
I have just updated to latest Smartware (2.4.14) and rebooted machine (Win7 Pro 64).
I can look directly at the drive and I see newly backed up files in directory “WD SmartWare.swstor”.
So why doesn’t SmartWare show me any volumes?
(And what kind of an idiot am I to be using this horrible software?)

Are you able to provide an image of what you are seeing. I have had to retrieve mine for my desktop and I have never had any problems with the SmartWare. Have you read the information provided. There is more under the Help tab>Retrieve.


Never mind, today it’s working as it should. The retrieve tab discovers a valid backup volume and gives me options for where to retrieve to.
And now that I’ve disabled automatic backup, things are better, faster.
