Recently purchased the Mybook Essentials 2TB hard drive. As a rule, how often does the software backup new changes to the files and if I delete a file from my computer does smartware delete it also and what is the grace period before it deletes the file?
Hi, smartware will always be checking for any new files that you copy or create on you computer. Smartware will only copy files but not delete them if you delete them from your PC.
So you physically have to go into the drive and remove files that in each backup that you have deleted off your main PC. That’s a bummer.
Since I download a lot of music, and typically keep files in a separate folder before adding them to my library, how do you suggest I set up the backup in “category backup”, rather than having to select every folder in “File Backup”
