I have updated to Smartware 2.0 and now 2.0.1. In both cases, the software ignores backing up a pst file after it has been backed up once.
I am using the Scheduled mode and perform a manual backup as a test. If I deselect the pst file from the backup file list, save that and then re-select the pst file, and save the settings again, the software will save the file when I do a manual backup.
I can then have Outlook update the pst file and close Outlook and confirm that the file is no longer open by verifying that I can manually make a copy of the file. Now I engage another manual backup. It says it completes successfully with no outstanding files. Yet, the new version of the pst file is NOT stored.
I had hoped that the scheduled backup would resolve not being able to backup pst files. Is there a way to make the Smartware program reliably backup pst files?
