SMART not appearing on WD 8TB SSD

Recently purchased the new 8TB WD/Sandisk DeskSSD. Having issues in Lightroom with photos offline or not found. Assessed drive with MacOS Disk Utility. No SMART status visible. Do WD SSDs not support SMART status tests?
