I have a MBL 3TB Network Drive and a MBP. I have had it for 2 years and have never had any problems whatsoever with it. I rarely look for updates for firmware but did last week, big mistake! Now I get this message “The folder Shared Vidoes can’t be opened because you don’t have permission to see its contents” when trying to open either Shared Videos or Shared Music in Finder. I can open any other folder. Of course I haven’t changed anything, I just screwed up and updated the stinking firmware. Is there a way to fix this or go back to previous firmware? Thanks.
Try pressing the reset button on the back of the my book for 4 seconds.
