Simultaneous connections to an external network mounted drive

I am looking for a network connected large drive that allows a large number of simultaneous connections. I my case, the same program is running on each core on 15 different PC’s. That is about 50 instances spread across the 15 PC. Every instance reads the same 10 MB file then spends the next 30 minutes doing something with the data.

On windows XP, Vista, and 7 Home Premium, there is a limit of from 10 to 20 simultaneous connections. This limitations gets in the way.

  1. Will one of the My Book Live External Network Drives handle this without complaint?
  2. How many simultaneous connections does a device like My Book Live 2TB External Home Network Drive support?
  3. What ability do we have to control connections such as connection time out.

Thanks!
