Signing in with WD Sync takes a long time


I bought a WD Cloud a few weeks ago. I’ve installed WD Sync on my PC at work to keep it synced with my laptop and the WD Cloud (which is hooked up at home).

It’s been performing pretty smoothly, but I have one recurring issue with my desktop PC (running Windows 7).

I turn on my PC, WD Sync starts up straight away, but it hangs on “Signing in” for a very long time (usually 5-10 minutes).

Eventually it connects and syncs, but this kind of timeframe seems kind of long, given that my laptop (Windows 10) connects within 30 seconds. It makes it difficult to quickly switch to another work station and continue what I was doing.

Anyone else experience this problem?

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the WD Sync software on windows 7 computer?


I just tried uninstalling, rebooting, then reinstalling.

I still have the same problem. I’ve now been waiting 30 minutes to sign in.

UPDATE: Signed in after about 35-40 minutes.

Any ideas?
