I’d like to purchase the TB3 Shuttle XL to connect with my new TB3 PC laptop, but I’d also like to sometimes connect to my existing TB2 PC tower instead. Is TB3 backwards compatible with TB2 when using a PC (Windows 10) via adapter? I’ve read the Apple adapter is backward compatible with Apple products, but no info out there for backward compatible adapters for PC products. If you know an adapter that will work, can you share the info?
We don’t have an approved qualified list of adapters that work on Windows platforms going backward. The Apple adapter does indeed work on Apple but not on Windows.
