the light is steadystate/blue. When I enter my password and hit login, the drive turns off. How do I access theis unit to update it’s firmware. It is connected to the network and I hope the firmware update will help it stay connected to the network. It keeps dropping off line thus making it useless. Is this a feature of the WD drive or the NAS unti itself?

When the my book is ready to be used the front light should be Green, disconnecting the power cable for a couple of seconds and pressing the reset button on the back of the my book for 4 seconds. If that doesn’t work you might want to contact tech support to replace it.
