Lately I lock my “my book elite” with password, but before it I’ve got on this external hdd some files, should I put those files again on “my book elite” to encrypt it or when I put password eveything is encrypted now, even files which was there before I set password?
The encryption only work with smartware you need to backup your files with WD smartware in order for the encryption to work…
Why should I need software to encrypt if the encryption on my book elite is a hardware way? Also I don’t need any kind of software installed to unlock my book elite only “wd smartware drive unlock” which is on virtual vcd.
