Should I let CCleaner empty the Recycle bin on My Passport?

Hello, everybody!

I’ve been using CCleaner to keep my system in order. Several days ago I ran it while the drive was pluged in and it tries to empty its recycle bin. It was a .mkv file, but I wasn’t sure if I had deleted anything from the drive yet (as it is new and quite big).

I used Explorer to see what is there in the drive (using show hidden folders and unchecking “hide protected system files” option) and there are two folders that are well protected, including the recycle bin. So, is it safe to let CCleaner do its thing on a folder which is restricted in such a way?
