I was a little disappointed to find out that this products don’t have the basic features that a NAS should have.
I use my cloud to backup my files, so my question is if “protected space” (folder created by WD discovery app) means that actual user logged in on the PC have Read Write access to this space.
The thing is that in case of Ransomware attack this “shared” or “mapped” drive is going to be encrypted.
But if i can secure the share folder with a secure user/passwords i will secure my backups.
Any ideas?
