I am in the US and have set up a Slingbox with the intent of sending the SMP to my son in the military so he can get US programming at his remote location. How do I configure the SMP since it is not going to be used with my TV? I have connected it to my Internet router and powered it up. Is there anything more I need to do here before sending the SMP to him?

If is already registered the media player on the sling box web site, you dont need to do nothing else.
