Seek error sector out of disk bounds 5TB My Book cant fix

ok I need help… since contact support does not know what a 5TB serial number or model number is
I cant ask wd for help as the 5tb my book is apparently not made by WD since there page cant find the Sn or model

but I’m getting the error “seek error sector out of disk bounds” in sisandra I cant do tests… another program I tested with gave error… I ran chkdsk /f but it cant find any errors…

whats wrong with the drive how do I fix it

This particular error message points out to a degraded hard drive. I’d recommend double-checking your unit’s Serial Number in order to request a free replacement under warranty. Some characters like “0” can be easily mistaken with an “O”.
