I installed my new WD Ultra 2TB to my office workstation, and it works fine. But when I want to schedule automatic night time backups, the backup utility only displays my local drives. My network drives are clearly available in Windows Explorer on my workstation. Why doesn’t the Ultra utility display them as available for backup too?
The backup application bundled with the WD My Passport Ultra only works locally with the unit.

Most most 3rd party applications that support USB drives should work with your WD Passport. However, I am unable to recommend applications that are not supported by Western Digital and/or are not bundled with Windows/Mac.
