Security of my cloud home?

Hello I’m using a 4TB my cloud home device - My Cloud Home | Western Digital Store

I understand this is not a NAS device. So i’d like to know more about the security features of this product…

If someone removes the hard disk can they access all the data? or they wont be able to access without my cloud login? what about encryption?

The My Cloud Home mobile app supports a 4 digit passcode and Touch ID and FingerPrint function to unlock and access the My Cloud Home mobile app.
