Security Issue

Hello,

I have the My Cloud 4TB disk and I share it with 2 other people. In my photos they have no access and I am the only one who has full access  on the photos folder. Someone with Samsung Galaxy S5 phone can access my photos from the photo app on his device. There is a section for “Other devices” and there is the WD my cloud logo. When you tab on it you have a full access.

What can I do to fix this problem? Please it is a matter of security!

Thank you!

Where exactly are the photos stored?  Are they in Public/Pictures, or are they in a completely private share?  If the latter, what access rights have you assigned to this share?

The photos are store in a new private folder.

The other shares they have no access to this folder.

Sure you disabled media serving on your private folder?

The media serving what it stands for?

Yes media serving is desabled.

Does this person have an id on your MC? If so you should be able to restrict his cloud access using dashboard - cloud access tab

No, he does not have any access on my disk

And he’s accessing … how?   Using a File Browser, or one of WD’s apps?

Is this person actually on YOUR network?    If so, WHY?!

If you go on photos app on android device you can search for other devices. She is a friend of mine that why she is on my network. But this is not the problem. The problem is why she has access on the disk??
