i am at the retrieve tab and i would like to search my passport for all doc files. i type doc into the search box and hit enter. it says “no files found”
the only way the search finds a file is if i type the name exactly. i am running 1.3.0.16
Im having the same problem. With Windows XP an Windows 7. Im using WD Passport Essential 500GB and Smartware version 1.3.0.16.
You are able to use the % sign as a wild card. For example, instead of searching for: reallylongnameHere1324asdf.mp3 you would search for reallylongname% or simple really% and you should yield the proper results. This may be changed in future releases of the software.
