We recommend to use same WD Red drives in My Cloud EX2 Ultra for better performance. You may refer My Cloud EX2 Ultra user manual (page #100) for drive compatibility details:

Yes it supports Seagate Ironwolf drives. I just got diskless EX2 Ultra and its working well with 4TB Ironwolf drives. You can pretty much use any drive, just make sure that you use the ones that are made for NAS for reliability.
