Hey all thanks for stopping by.

I was able to download the software for my drive but no matter what I do the application will not run.  I am trying to test my drive for errors.  Windows does it almost every time I reboot my machine and on another forum someone suggested I run the diagnostic application for my drive.

Hi windows will want to check your drive if it does not shutdown properly like if it auto reboots or it is shut down by the power button not by going start shutdown. The data lifeguard for windows from this link is what you should be using.  http://support.wdc.com/product/download.asp?groupid=606&lang=en  if that will not work try a copy of Hard Disk sentinel it will test the drive and give you a report also in hd sentinel check the smart data tab for errors in there.
