Scientific Atlantic DVR not recognizing My Book AV

I have two DVR’s and bought a My Book AV for each. About six months after successfully using one of the drives, the DVR started to have issues. I never could figure out if it was an issue with the expander or the DVR, seemed to me to be the DVR itself so I had my cable company swap it out.

It was summer time and I didn’t need the stoarge space so I only just now got around to reconnecting the DVR expander to the new DVR to get ready for fall TV season. I followed the instructions for connecting everything. When I plug the DVR back in, it boots but it never goes through the expander set up (Prompting me to reformat the drive, etc) and the percentage of free space never changes.

The drive seems to be functioning okay (power light comes on, drive gets up to speed).

Did I possibly miss a step? Is there something I need to do before connecting the Expander to a NEW DVR?

It is still under warranty since I got it in February last year. Any suggestions would be great, thank you.
