New user with WD My Cloud. Can I set up a regularly scheduled PC back up?

Yes. You could use WD’s Smartware, or any (possibly more reliable…) backup program; I use FreeFileSync.

If you have another WD external drive the Acronis WD Edition gives you a discount on the full product ($29 upgrade cost for single computer only). It will backup to the MC device with the option for encryption and incremental backups in a single file.

I’m liking so far using on my laptop and desktop. The WD Edition is running on my netbook.

Or use FreeFileSync, which is, unsurprisingly, free, and does incremental backups to create a ‘live’ backup, I.e. no weird, compressed file deltas that can’t be accessed without a matching program…
