I have My Book Essentials (1TB) and am using WD Smartware. This may be a dumb question but with the software I didn’t see were to schedule a regular backup and I don’t see the date and time of the last backup. Do I use the WD software along with Windows backup?
Smartware does not allow you to schedule a backup, Windows backup does.
You can use either or both softwares (Or any other that works well for you) as they have different features, but please keep in mind that WD will only support Smartware.
