Just bought and installed a My Passport Ultra and set it up to back up three times a week. On set up I instigated a manual back up which seemed to go OK but subsequently none of the scheduled back ups seem to have occurred

When you did the first backup, did you click on enable backup or the watch icon?
I think it must have been the former: I don’t recall seeing a watch icon.
