SATA Question

I’m not familiar with differences between SATA versions…

My motherboard is an ASUS p7h55 with SATA ports running at 3 Gb/s (which I believe is SATA II).

My question: Will the WD20EARX 2TB WD Caviar Green 3.5 SATA 6Gb / s desktop drive work (i.e. will sata 3 drives work with sata 2 controllers)?
