Hi all

I have a Samsung smart TV with a facility to record live TV to a USB device

Would it be possible to plug my TV into the WD My Cloud via the USB and record to it

Hi dangerousbrian, no, the USB port on the My Cloud is only to expand the available space. Check page 106 for more information.
