Try to be short. with the last firmware lost my shares to my 8.1 and to my 7.
Read a lot and no one seems to know how to fix this.
well download the previous version of the firmware, the last one before this one.
Stick it on a usb and “update the box”.
This is not going to do the job for itself.
Go to your PC where your shares are, and do with administrator priveligies an services.msc on the run box.
In the services , look for Computer Browser and initiate if it is stoped and put it in automatic.
Then run regedit.exe with administrator priveligies, Open the Registry Editor, and navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Browser\Parameters.
in the MaintainServerList you shoud put (yes).
