Samba constantly hangs on PR2100 and the process can't be killed

Hi there,

I have a PR2100 wiht OS5 and firmware version 5.22.113. It’s been quite a while (also in prior firmware versions) that I have noticed samba processes (smbd -D) getting frozen when I look at the process log. I also tried via SSH to do kill -9 PID to kill the processes, but they can’t be killed. No errors, the process with the same PID just stays there eating up resources. Only way to kill them is to do a force reboot.

Is this a known bug?
