Safepoint Problems - External HD partitions

I am currently still testing a new WD My Cloud, and I am having some troubles with safepoints.

I have successfully created safepoints on a regular USB stick plugged into the device.

I am to use a 4TB Seagate external backup drive to make safepoints. When it is plugged in, the My Cloud spots and recognizes the device, and when it goes to retreive partitions, nothing is visible.

I used the Seagate out of the box and it did not work.

I formatted the Seagate and it has not worked.

I have created smaller partitions on the Seagate and this has not worked.

The Seagate seems to work just fine for normal use and connects  to my PC with no problems.

Any suggestions?

How big do the safepoint files tend to run?

Thank you in advance.

I have a Seageate Expansion 4 TB external HDD and this one do’nt work either.

I think that some drives not work together with the My Cloud.

Too bad that WD is not given a list of compatible models that work properly with the My Cloud.

I go looking for a My Book HDD,  hopefully he will recognizes this one.
