I have some private folders with a password on mycloud. Once I do a safe point onto a usb external and I plug the external into my pc, will I be able to access the files and will it prompt for a password?

The safepoint does not keep the password on the private shares since it is not supposed to be accessed this way, however if you restore the safepoint on a My Cloud unit it will still have the permissions on the private shares.
