Safe point need PC be ON?

Hi all,
I’m doing a safe point of my all cloud (1.1 Tb) to a USB connected to my cloud.
My question is when is done and if I programmed to make a safe point every Friday at 7 PM for example, need to have the PC ON or not?
Now I have the PC ON and checking how the percentage is rising.
