We have 4 new drives and no restore need, as this is a new storage device. However, cant create the initial software installation. As found on the net: “The ISO will generate a bootable USB stick that allows you to erase/configure the drives and then installs the OS back onto the unit.” If this indicates the restore ISO image, which we used for the DX4000, oddly enough, the system boots this USB and tries to do a restore, but there is no data to restore, as all drives are blank. But, it does boot into a Windows environment to do the restore … we cant get the other bootable USB to do an initial install, it won’t boot into this USB and we have verified it is bootable, 16 GB and USB 2.0.
