I have several movies on. Mkv 1080 and run slow, is not there an update for fix this problem?
I have never heard of this issue on the Elements Play device. Could you provide a mediainfo file on one of the files you are having issues with? It sounds like the file is not properly encoded. What happens if you convert it to another format?
The mkv 1080 is BDRIP from Bluray…
Need a bit more information than that. There is more than one kind of MKV, and lots of different combinations of codecs. See this WD KBA for information on how to get a good log, and once you have it just paste it into the thread.

Me too…
I am not happy with this product. I will back to my WD TV Live, It’s better.
My guess would be that the bitrate exceeds what the Amlogic chip can keep up with.
I’ve just bought the wd elements and I’ve got the same problem. Will there be a fix?
A fix to what? The media bitrate exceeding the chip’s capabilities?
Ok, I returned wd elements play to the store and bought a wd hd tv live instead. Hope this one hasn’t got to much problems.
Let us know how you get on
