Rumbling noise

Hello

I have a WD My Book Essentils 1 T and it makes rumbling or slight knocking noises when it is being written to.

I have a warranty until 3/17/12.

Should I get another and if so, how do I delete the information on it and what is the process in getting another?

first verify

if u have a desktop

connect the drive to the back of the computer and the power to a wall socket

if still have the same issue

replace the unit Bro, u can do the rma online from http://websupport.wdc.com/warranty/rmainfo.asp?custtype=end&lang=en

I have begun erasing the drive(laptop) and when it is done I will send it to the address [Delated] at WD is sending to my address.

They will then send me another.
