Rolling back the firmware

I know that this will not help you really, but:

I’m playing all my MKV files (differnt sources, differnt audio/video codecs) via network from NAS (Share, DLNA, Media Library) with no problems with the new firmware.

There is only this chapter skipping issue (no sound after skipping), that is in review by WD, that I still have. But playing, rewinding, ff, time-skip - no problems at all.

Thanks, I have no idea what the problem is, but I’m going to give other media streamers a try.

Before you do, just tell us if you were able to play back the MKVs once you rolled back to> NAS new FW + WDTV old FW = worked?

So it turns out, it’s the FW on the NAS. I rolled back the FW from 4.x to 3.x and am running the latest FW on the WDTV and everything works…weird, as I  could have sworn it worked with new NAS FW and old WDTV FW.
