I purchased My Book Essential over the holidays and just got around to setting it up. In the process of installing software, setting password and backing up my system, I realized that I had inadvertently purchased a product without cloud storage. I had thought I had purchased My Book Live. I am past the point of returning so I am looking to reset this product to sell so I can purchase what I should have in the first place. Please advise.
Try connecting the drive to a router and map it, i think this would work but not recommended. You can only access the drive in your home network, however remote accessing the drive is not possible.
