Restore

Has anyone had to restore to a new notebook/HDD from their Passport external drive?  Was it successful?  Did you retain your settings etc on new unit?

If you’re referring to the Passport with SmartWare, a retrieval would only restore data to a new pc - not settings or system files.  SmartWare does not back up the entire system drive.
